Chemistry

Class Duration: 2 hours
Max Class Size: 8 students

Our Chemistry programme follows the MOE outlines closely and focuses on the appropriate way to apply concepts and skills in different contexts. Real life scenarios are incorporated to allow students to see the link between Chemistry and the world, developing deeper interest in the subject.

Timed practices are provided as we believe that good time management and accuracy are the keys to getting good grades in Chemistry.

The 4 Important Keys

Skills required:

1. Key Concepts - Knowing what are the fundamental topics your child is weak is, that’s preventing him from doing well in Sec3 and will even pull him down in Sec4 as well.

2. Keywords - The mastery of all the keywords and phrases that examiners look out for when marking the paper so that they can score the marks they deserve.

3. Key _________ __________  - The missing ingredient that’s making your child lose innocent marks every time he answers even if he actually knows the concept.

4. Key ________ - The key criteria that separates A scorers from B scorers, here’s what your child needs if they want to secure a strong grade for Chemistry.

Testimonials

“She has been my Secondary 1 Science tuition teacher teaching me Biology, Physics and Chemistry for the past 2 years. Ms Andrea teaches us when we do not understand and explains the concepts clearly. She gives us challenging problems and school exam-based questions which helps me excel in my exam. She also teaches us in a way that is fun and exciting!”

— Elizabeth, Sec 2 Chemistry student

“Ms Andrea has helped me to improve my grades for Science from a B3 to A1. The lessons taught are fun and enriching which makes me motivated to learn. Ms Andrea is a kind, caring and amazing teacher who makes learning enjoyable. She teaches in a way which I can easily understand. She is very patient when answering our questions even beyond class hours. ”

— Anitha, Sec 2 Chemistry student

“Ms Andrea is an excellent teacher and coach! She tutored my daughter for her Grade 12 IB Math and Chemistry curriculums and it was the best decision!

This is what my daughter has to say about her experience, "Ms Andrea is very patient and approachable, and it's easy to form a relationship with her that's both friendly and mentor-mentee-like. She will always take the time out to explain a concept to you, and find exercises for you from your curriculum, whether from a local or international school. Schedules can be adjusted based on your and her availability, which is very helpful, especially for a senior student with many school deadlines".

— Sonal Chopra Jaggi, parent of Grade 12 IB Math and Chem student
