Self-Care and Mental Health for Students

Mental health is an important and common issue that many adults and students struggle with. Many students choose not to disclose their mental health issues that they face at home or in school due to social stigma or the fear of being judged. As mentors and parents, it is important that that we lend them the support whenever they need it, especially so in their younger years before these symptoms lead to bigger issues in the future.

We understand that every student copes with their problems and stress differently. Here are some of the ways that we have found to be helpful in giving the support that students need, as well as a reminder to ourselves to let our hair down at times.
